What makes Distinctive a little different is our approach to fragrance. Rather than following the usual predictable soap scents, we’ve taken inspiration from fine perfumery to create our laundry fragrances with character, depth and personality. Whether you prefer something warm and sophisticated, fresh and uplifting, softly botanical or wonderfully comforting, there is a fragrance to suit your mood and even a Christmassy bar.

There is something rather lovely about starting or ending the day with a beautifully fragranced bar of soap. The feel of a rich, creamy lather, the fragrance released in the warmth of the shower and that little moment of everyday indulgence.

At Distinctive, we wanted to make it possible for our fragrances to be enjoyed beyond the laundry room. So we worked with an artisan soap maker who makes soap for other top brands to produce our range of handmade cold pressed soaps. Allowing customers to enjoy the distinctive scents they love on their laundry and in their homes, on their skin in the shower too!

Bath & Body Soap From Yorkshire

Made in Yorkshire, our 120g soap bars are created with a carefully selected blend of skin-loving butters and oils. We use coconut and organic shea butter, alongside avocado and castor oil. With just a touch of goat’s milk the soap is vegetarian-friendly rather than vegan. They are sustainable and palm oil-free and also made without sulphates or preservatives. Offering a moisturising and considered alternative to mass-produced soap bars.

Our original signature masculine fragrance is warm, sophisticated and beautifully distinctive.

Fresh bergamot and rose water introduce a rich fragrance, with rose petals, lavender and cashmere adding softness and depth. The warmth of ambergris, vanilla, sandalwood and cedarwood creates a beautifully rounded finish.

Relaxing Essential Oils Soap

A beautiful botanical and herbal fragrance created for those moments when you want to slow down and unwind.

Bergamot and eucalyptus blend with jasmine, ylang-ylang and patchouli, supported by delicate white florals, green stems, violet leaves, moss and musk.

Soft, calming and beautifully balanced, it brings a little sense of tranquillity to your everyday shower routine.

Energising Bergamot Soap

Fresh, uplifting and wonderfully invigorating, Energising Bergamot brings a little sunshine to your daily shower.

Bright oranges and Sicilian lemons meet crisp green apple, with soft musk adding warmth. The distinctive ozonic character of cyclamen gives the fragrance its clean, fresh and subtly masculine character.

A particularly lovely choice for a morning shower or after a workout.

Candlelit Cabin Soap

Comforting, warm and wonderfully inviting, Candlelit Cabin is like wrapping yourself in a favourite blanket on a cold winter’s evening.

Crisp air, frozen rose and apple bring freshness, while gentle clove and nutmeg add a soft touch of spice. Warm leather, amber, cedarwood and moss create a beautifully cosy finish.

Why Choose Handmade Cold Pressed Soap?

There is a difference between choosing an ordinary bar of soap. Cold pressed soap is still classed as an art and requires patience and skill. Taking up to 6 weeks to cure and dry (hand turned regularly during the process)

Cold pressed soaps are a gentle cleansing experience.
