Is Relaxing Essential Oils washing powder suitable for sensitive skin? sensitive skin Laundry Care

Yes as long as you can tolerate some essential fragrance oils. As a dry powder our formula doesn't contain any preservatives, or optical brighteners and our enzyme content is only active during the wash and facilitates a superior rinse to a non bio. It is suitable for a lot of people with skin conditions. Please order our mini 2 wash pack to start with whilst you make sure it is right for you.

As we don't add fabric softeners or scent boosters to the wash there are no residues left on clothing after washing so we hope you will be pleasantly surprised if other detergents make you itchy and uncomfortable. Let us know if you need further information Louise@distinctivewash.co.uk

Is the fragrance strong luxury laundry fragrance

Distinctive is about luxury scent which means we want to be able to smell our scents just as we climb into fresh bedding and pull the sheets up to settle for the best nights sleep. Or when we go to give someone a hug and notice how delightful they smell. We also enjoy wafts of beautiful fragrance whilst the washing dries throughout our homes or on the line.

Our scents will also last on clean clothes and bedding that has been put away.

But, the scents are more like Jo Malone or The White Company fragrances compared to a strong scented Lynx body spray that you can smell across the room.

I've always used liquid detergent – is washing powder easy to use? powder detergent

Absolutely. Distinctive washing powder is just as simple to use as liquid detergent. Simply add the recommended amount of powder directly to your washing machine drawer and select your usual wash programme. Our concentrated formula means you only need around half to one scoop, depending on the size of your load and level of soiling. It is designed to work effectively from 20–40°C but you can wash hotter when you want to. i.e. cleaning cloths or perhaps towels

Relaxing Essential Oils was originally created with a simple purpose: to help create a more calming bedtime environment through beautifully fragranced laundry. We based the scent on a very expensive night cream that was literally the most amazing scent to fall asleep to.

Its carefully balanced blend of bergamot, eucalyptus, jasmine, ylang-ylang and patchouli, softened with delicate white florals, moss and musk, creates a gentle, relaxing fragrance that is particularly lovely on bedding and nightwear. The fragrance is designed to be subtle rather than overpowering, leaving a calming scent close to the fabric as you settle down for the night.
