For best results, you need to consider the size of your washing machine and whether you live in a hard water or soft water area. I live in a hard water area and have a 10kg machine but despite our table suggesting 10g of washing powder per 1kg dry weight fabric I never have to use more than 1 scoop of Distinctive washing powder per full 8-10kg load of laundry. In fact the only stain we don’t work on is grease. Lipase the enzyme that attacks grease is a little too harsh for our clothing and fabrics every day, as it would strip out moisture – so instead if you spill olive oil, or butter – all you need to do is to rub a little washing up liquid into the area, prior to washing with Distinctive as usual.
